Dr. Shirah Cohen-Tidd is a licensed psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents, and families for more than 15 years across a variety of settings. She has a passion for helping individuals and families struggling with OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and disruptive or challenging behaviors. Dr. Cohen-Tidd has a warm and creative therapeutic style and believes therapy should be engaging and fun, often incorporating play and hands-on activities to help children express themselves, build skills, and feel safe in the therapeutic process. She actively involves parents and caregivers to support progress and lasting change for their child. For teens and young adults, Dr. Cohen-Tidd is collaborative and supportive in sessions, focusing on building insight, coping skills, and confidence.
Dr. Cohen-Tidd has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) strategies. Along with individual therapy, Dr. Cohen-Tidd also conducts psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Dr. Cohen-Tidd earned an MSSA degree at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2010 and earned her doctorate in psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2015. She has worked in various settings including schools, outpatient clinic, community mental health, and private practice. In her free time, Dr. Cohen-Tidd enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, exercising, reading, and traveling.
