Kathleen joined OPH in 2006 after a 13-year affiliation with Laurelwood Hospital and Counseling Centers, where she worked as a LISW, counseling children, adolescents and adults.

In her work at The Organization for Psychological Health, Kathleen (she/her) assists adults, adolescents, and middle school-age children with a diverse range of emotional and psychological concerns. Her goal as a mental health clinician is to assist individuals in enhancing their strengths and developing skills which will enable them to achieve balance, wellness and success in their lives – personally, professionally and academically. She approaches therapy from a compassionate and nonjudgmental perspective that honors the client as a whole person with emotional, social, physical and perhaps spiritual needs. She uses an eclectic approach to therapy, which includes solution-focused, mindfulness-based, trauma-informed and cognitive-behavioral methods. Kathleen strives to form a collaborative, therapeutic relationship that facilitates personal growth and empowers clients to accomplish realistic and meaningful goals.

Kathleen earned a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University and a Master of Science in Social Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University. Throughout her professional career, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including a psychiatric hospital, an employee assistance program, a crime victims’ resource center, and an outpatient mental health center. Prior to joining Organization for Psychological Health in 2006, she worked 13 years with Laurelwood Hospital and Counseling Centers as a clinical social worker. In her free time, Kathleen loves being active with kayaking, hiking, and playing pickleball. She also enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes.
