About Laura Haake

Laura is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families since 2009. Throughout her professional career, Laura has worked to provide treatment for issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, developmental transitions into adulthood, self-injury, peer relationships, family dynamic concerns and parental strategies. Laura assists individuals to cope more effectively and heal from a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns.

Laura firmly believes that the success of counseling is dependent on the establishment of a trusting and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. Laura uses evidence-based practices, which include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy to empower her clients to work toward the achievement of their personal therapeutic goals.

Professional Experience

Laura earned her Bachelors from The College of Wooster with a degree in Psychology. She earned her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Kent State University. She considers herself a lifelong learner who pursues ongoing educational and training experiences to provide comprehensive and quality care to her clients.
