Dr. Tira Stebbins is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with individuals of all ages in the field of psychology. She uses a client-centered approach that focuses on building insight, self-awareness, and skills for reaching clinical and personal goals. Dr. Stebbins believes that the foundation of the therapeutic process is a strong therapist-client relationship and she uses an insight-oriented approach that incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) strategies. Along with individual therapy, Dr. Stebbins also provides psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification, ADHD, learning disorders, and cognitive and educational gifted classification.

Dr. Stebbins earned a BA in Psychology at Elon University, an MA in clinical psychology at East Carolina University, and a PhD in Urban Education: Counseling Psychology at Cleveland State University. She has worked in various settings including hospitals, forensic settings, community mental health, schools, and private practice. Dr. Stebbins joined Organization for Psychological Health in 2016, built a robust child and adolescent counseling and assessment program, and in 2021 she took over as owner and clinical director of the practice.

Dr. Stebbins grew up in the Chagrin Valley, and returned to the area in 1999 after attending college and graduate school in North Carolina. She is a lifelong equestrian and conducted her doctoral dissertation, “The Effects of Equine-Assisted Therapy on Children with Emotional Disturbance” at Fieldstone Farm in Bainbridge, Ohio. Dr. Stebbins has a passion for child welfare, animal welfare, and women’s issues. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, riding, and exercising.
