Dr. Leslie Jevnikar has over 35 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in various settings including community mental health, residential treatment, in-home counseling and private practice. She provides individual counseling and parent coaching and is certified in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) treatment (ADHP-CCSP), Trauma and Attachment therapy, and Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior (BFRB) treatment. Dr. Jevnikar also specializes in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), disruptive behavior disorders, and anxiety disorders.
Central to her practice is the belief in acceptance and forgiveness of oneself and others, which she views as essential for well-being and mental health. Dr. Jevnikar integrates these values, along with evidenced-based strategies and solutions into her therapeutic practice, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Dr. Jevnikar believes that it can be powerful and effective to incorporate spirituality in one’s mental health healing, and she welcomes clients who wish to so.

Dr. Jevnikar earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from John Carroll University and a PhD from Kent State University in Clinical Counseling
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Jevnikar is raising three young adult sons. She routinely plans and prepares for meals and supports the needs of the homeless. She is an avid reader, golfer, and traveler. Her love for food and culinary skills allows her to entertain family and friends at her home. Leslie also stresses the importance of fitness and can often be found at the gym taking a spin or weights class, and enjoys hiking or walking her golden retriever.
