Fees & Insurance Coverage

Most of our clinicians participate in most major health insurance and managed care plans, which typically cover a portion of the treatment fee. We ask that you contact your insurance company before initiating services to gain clarity regarding your specific coverage such as benefits, deductibles, and limit of services. Every insurance policy is unique to the individual, so your plan may not be identical to someone else’s plan within the same insurance company.

If your clinician does participate with your specific plan, the insurance company will pay OPH directly for the portion of the cost of treatment they cover; you will then be responsible for any remaining deductible, co-payment, or co-insurance. We require all clients to enroll in our online billing system and provide a credit card to ease the process. Health Savings Account (HSA) cards may be used.

The following insurances are accepted by different clinicians at OPH:

  • Caresource
  • Medical Mutual, Medicare
  • United Healthcare Optum

Our clinicians currently do not accept Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Cigna. If your clinician is not a network provider for your insurance company, you will be responsible for the fee in its entirety. You may request a Superbill to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

Our Fee Schedule is as follows:

  • Initial evaluation is $200.00
  • $150.00 for subsequent psychotherapy sessions
  • Marital and Family counseling fee is $160
  • Testing/assessment is $190 per hour of testing, scoring, and writing

Unless other arrangements are made, clients are responsible for payment of their portion of the fee at the time of each session. If you have circumstances that require special consideration, please speak with one of our clinicians before scheduling an initial consultation.

Good Faith Estimate

Notice to clients and prospective clients:

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
