Ali Weiss Trotter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience working with families, children and adolescents. She specializes in family therapy, as well as individual mental health treatment for children and adolescents. In her work as a family therapist, Ali draws on a comprehensive collection of evidence-based treatment approaches such as Integrative Family and Systems therapy, structural strategic interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Ali has worked in a variety of settings including Bellefaire JCB in Cleveland, Ohio, Jewish Child and Family Services in Chicago and Avista Healthcare in New Jersey. She currently manages three community based programs at Bellefaire in Shaker Heights, Ohio where she is responsible for the outpatient therapy department (including psychiatry and psychological services), the intensive home based treatment team and the school based mental health counseling department. As evidenced by her work history, Ali has many years of experience assessing and treating children and families.
In 1994 Ali earned her Masters of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University. Her areas of focus were, and continue to be, family therapy, child and adolescent mental health, and autism spectrum disorders.
